History of Cazenovia Fire Department

The Past

The start of the Cazenovia Fire Department dates back as far as
the late 1790's when our forefathers began fighting fires with
bucket brigades.

In May of 1810, the Cazenovia Village Corporation voted to purchase
a fire engine at a cost of $100.00.
